Covi, the little Christmas dinosaur by Susie Cullen
Dinosaur character returns to save Christmas during the pandemic!
Children have had it tough in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic – but Covi, the little green dinosaur is back to save Christmas. Covi is a helpful little Xmas dinosaur who came to comfort and support the children when the world was hit by the virus. The little dinosaur visits children of the world from Singapore, India, China and the UK. Britain’s Harmonie-Rose Allen appears in this book. This courageous seven-year-old Meningitis survivor, who lost her arms and legs when she was a baby, is an absolute inspiration to adults and children.
For every book’s sale, 50 pence will go to Harmonie-Rose’s school, the Combe Down Primary School, to fund a programme to build up the school’s library of books and redevelop their forest school activities.
I have read it out loud from the beginning to end and it has great pacing and rhythm. I loved it. We will all be willing Covi on!
Kara Owen, British High Commissioner, Singapore
A very cool Xmas tale that marvellously brings together Xmas and with day-to-day global issues to which young kids can relate too. My kids loved Covi, the Little Santa Helper!
Matteo Vezzosi, Executive Director, Asia Toy & Play Association
Susie’s first two children’s books, ‘Covi, the little green dinosaur’ and ‘Covi, the little seaside dinosaur’ proved to be big hits with both children and adults alike.
